Meet Dr. Lee
Dr. Mary Lee was born and raised in central Kentucky. She completed her undergraduate studies at Georgetown College, a small liberal arts school in Georgetown, KY. There she played collegiate soccer and was honored to be named to the Academic All-American team.
Dr. Lee stayed close to home for her dental training at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. She graduated with her Doctorate of Dental Medicine in 2009. During dental school, Dr. Lee discovered that she was passionate about the surgical aspect of dentistry and quickly learned that she especially enjoyed Periodontics.
In 2009 Dr. Lee began the Post-Doctoral Periodontics residency program at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. There she received her specialty certification in Periodontics in addition to a Masters of Science in Dentistry degree in 2012. Dr. Lee’s research investigated inflammatory proteins in mice and their role in periodontal bone loss.
Dr. Lee continues to enjoy playing soccer as well as snow skiing, and water sports. She also loves spending time with her husband and their three dogs.
Before coming to our office Dr. Lee had been practicing Periodontics and Implantology in Baltimore.
